La Mondiale Europartner - Office Space of the Year 2018

La Mondiale Europartner has been based in Bertrange since 2007. They were occupying about 1,000 sqm and were only 70 employees. Since then, the team has grown considerably, as they are now 200 employees. The expansion project has been successfully completed and the size of the office space has increased to around 2,500 sqm. The decision was made to carry out a new interior design for this expansion. More than half of the spaces in the new wing are collaborative spaces. The luminosity has been the object of constant search in the new design. All workstations are oriented near the windows and grouped into blocks of four people. Openwork panel systems are also installed, allowing for separation while letting light through. This move resulted into rethinking the way of working. Thanks to the new arrangement of the offices and the new atmosphere, collaboration and interaction between teams is stronger. A "zen" room has been created for employees who would like to take a break. A library enhances the circulation area and small desks encourage discussion in a relaxed way. A vegetated wall, as well as many other hanging shelves decorated with plants, bring a natural touch to the space. A kitchen corner is available for employees who would like to have a coffee or to have a bite. On the terrace, a vegetable garden is at the disposal of the employees.

The team has really taken ownership of the place, all generations combined. The feedback from our employees on this new layout is so positive that we are currently carrying out some office staging in the rest of our offices to inject some of these improvements into our older premises. Our teams interact more with each other and work more in line with project dynamics. From now on, we will also be able to receive our partners directly in our spaces.

This main category assesses the attractiveness of your working environment and evaluates whether the employees feel comfortable in the premises.

Next to granting the 'Office Space of the Year' Award, the Jury will dedicate 5 Special Awards to the premises that stand out in one of the following categories:

  • Best lobby

    Making a great first impression through your lobby or reception is one of the major key to being a successful and welcoming company! This category assesses the attractiveness of your reception area. Which first impression would you like to leave on clients and employees ?

  • Wellness

    A wellness and relaxation area, a sport complex, large windows that make your workspace bright? If your company possesses one of those, it surely improves your employees’ well-being at work and enhances their performance. Show us your healthy touch.

  • Small office

    Are you a company with up to 30 employees and up to 500 sqm of office space? If so, you might be interested in the following! This category evaluates the attractiveness of the workplace of small companies or start-ups.

  • Co-working space

    Your daily job is to bring together creative minds from different sectors in a pleasant environment giving space for networking. Show us how welcoming your co-working space is.

  • Public voting

    All registered companies will be automatically included in this category. This category evaluates offices from the public’s point of view. The public voting award will be offered to the company who has got the most likes on our official Instagram page. How attractive is your workspace?

The Jury

The professional jury consists of highly reputable experts from the real estate, human resources, communication and art sector.
They will bring together their expertise and experience to be the warrants of the selection process of the finalists and ultimately select the winner of each category.

The jury members of the CBRE Office Space of the Year competition will not only evaluate the pictures of the premises but also the description and characteristics provided through the registration form.
